Tin-Tin’s a European champion!

Tin-Tin Ho has a gold medal around her neck after she and Karoline Mischek won the women’s doubles at the European Under-21 Championships.

Having yesterday overcome the second seeds to reach the last four, Ho and her Austrian team-mate saw off  fifth seeds Zhang & Zarif in the semi-finals to take their place in the gold medal match.

Their opponents were the Wegrzyn sisters from Poland and it was a big opportunity for the pairing, seeded seventh, as they faced a pair ranked 19th.

And it was an opportunity they took, though not without a struggle at times as they won it 3-0 (11-8, 15-13, 11-8) – overturning a 6-1 deficit in the final game to get on the top step of the podium.
